The Welcoming Club is pleased to announce

as its 2020-2021 charity.

As a not-for-profit, volunteer-based organization, The INN provides a broad variety of essential services to assist those challenged by hunger, homelessness and profound poverty.
We partner with those in need in a dignified and respectful manner to help them achieve self-sufficiency.

The INN operates the Mary Brennan INN, the largest soup kitchen on Long Island, serving a meal to 200-350 guests each weekday all year long, as well as access to shower facilities and a non-perishable food pantry. In addition to the basic needs the soup kitchen provides, the Center for Transformative Change (CTC) has been in operation since 2016 serving as a resource center and free clothing and housewares boutique.  CTC offers assistance to guests in need of more than just the basics; housing, furniture, obtaining identification and a host of social services. CTC has direct relationships with local organizations to help guests get back on their feet, no matter their circumstances. Emergency and long-term housing shelters round out The INN’s programs, with temporary housing for families and individuals, and long-term housing program for formerly homeless guests who need additional help as they strive to be self-sufficient.
