Tennis Sign-Up 2010/2011 Season
It is time for the 2010/2011 tennis season. If you
are interested, please complete the form which will be e-mailed and posted here on March 1st. Submit the completed form and 2 checks. The checks will cover a $100 tennis
deposit and $30 for 2010/2011 membership dues, both made out to the Garden City
Welcoming Club. I will accept checks by mail only. Preference will be given to complete groups of 6
people that have all checks submitted. Mail checks & completed forms to Rose Curth, 112 6th Street.
Tennis Round Robin -

April 17, 7:30pm-10:00pm
This fun event will take place at the Garden City
Community Park and be round robin doubles...so grab your husband or friend and get out for some fun. All
levels welcome and refreshments and snacks will be served. Cost and more details to follow in the April

The Welcoming Club of Garden City
Tennis Sign Ups
If you are interested in playing tennis in a weekly group at the
Garden City Recreation Center next year, please complete the
form below and return it to Rose Curth at 112 Sixth Street
with 2 checks, a $100 tennis deposit check and a $30
check for the 2010/2011 membership dues made payable to
the Welcoming Club of Garden City
(without both checks, your spot cannot be held).
We will begin accepting checks immediately by mail only.
Checks will not be accepted in person.
Full groups of six people will be given preference for time slots.
The season, which is defined by contract with the
Village Recreation Department, is expected to begin in late
September and run through April with some weeks off
for holidays. The total court cost for each player depends upon
the court time and is based on the current Village court fees.
If you already have a group (up to six people),
you may sign up together by coordinating your preferences and
submitting forms and checks together.
Please indicate your play level rating (USTA-based) so we can
effectively combine players into groups and provide a useful sub list:
Beginner (never played): 1.0
Advanced Beginner: 1.5
Intermediate: 2.0
Advanced Intermediate: 2.5
Advanced: 3.0
You can get your rating from most pros or call the tennis center at
483-2525 to schedule an appointment to be rated at no cost.
Unless your group makes other arrangements, each time slot includes
a half-hour or hour lesson with a GC Recreation pro at a cost of
approximately $12.50 per player/hr. (paid in cash to the pro each week).
Babysitting is available on site during our scheduled court times at a
suggested cost of several dollars per child.

Return to Rose Curth at 112 Sixth Street with 2 checks, a $100 deposit
check and a $30 check for the 2010/2011 membership dues payable to
The Welcoming Club of Garden City ($100 deposit refundable if you don’t
get one of your preferred time slots). To hold your spot, payment of the
balance due must be made by June 15th.
If you are looking to be in a group please just fill out info for one player and
I will do my best to get a group for you. If you have any questions please
