This month the recommended book is The Girls from Ames: A Story of a Women and a Forty-Year Friendship, by Jeffrey Zaslow.  It is a story of ten friends from Ames, Iowa who maintain their friendships across time and distance.    One reviewer noted that for some, the best thing they will take away from this book is a feeling of gratitude that these women are not their friends!   The idea that the girls from Ames are not always ideal friends to one another seems a bit sad, yet it also seems real.  Enjoy!  Anyone interested in joining or forming a book club should contact me, Cecilia at csanossian@yahoo.com.
